Is hemp considered a medicine?

Technically, CBD is still considered a Schedule I medicine under civil law. Hemp has been deleted from the Controlled Substances Act, but the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) still categorized back CBD as a Schedule I Drug. Both hemp and cannabis also contain cannabinoids similar to CBD, cannabidivarin (CBDV), cannabigerol (CBG), and others. The 2018 Ranch Bill established the specific description of hemp versus cannabis by limiting the THC content of hemp to no further than0.3. Hemp may contain fats, protein, and other chemicals.
